Bu-Bye Obama!

Every election year, the stench of liberal arrogance permeates the nation in a most inescapable way. Staunch dems mock conservatives as if we were all simple-minded country folk who, bless our hearts, just don’t know any better. They laugh at us for choosing to worship a creator over science. We’re scolded for wanting to protect the life of an unborn infant more so than that of a lab rat. Preserving the sanctity of marriage, well that’s just downright intolerant. And guns? Why would anyone need or want them?

The less-nasty Dems still want to argue how much better life was when Clinton ran the country. “It’s the economy, stupid!” they said. But what did we sacrifice for the bounty we reaped (notice I didn’t say sowed) during those 8 glorious years? That which we took for granted for far too long - our national security.

Under Clinton’s watch, Al Queda (with bin Laden at the helm) killed over 50 Americans and injured over 1,000 others in 5 separate bombing attacks. In 1996 bin Laden issued Al Qaeda’s first “declaration of war” against America and in 1998 he published the fatwa, calling all Muslims to “kill the Americans and their allies - civilians and military,” wherever they may be.

What did Clinton do about it? He launched a 4 day bombing campaign on Iraq to “degrade their ability to produce WMDs”. Never mind the coincidental timing of his disgusting tryst with a girl young enough to be his daughter. Oh, and never mind that the bombed targets weren’t really producing WMD material.

When 9/11 happened, one of my first thoughts was “Thank God Al Gore isn’t in office.” I am still thankful for that because, in spite of his flaws, Bush has managed to prevent any subsequent attacks from happening on American soil. If that means my paycheck may not go quite as far as it once did, so be it. I, like most Americans, am blessed beyond measure.

McCain’s veep choice yesterday was the most ingenious political move I’ve ever heard of or witnessed in my life. In fact, the move was so impressive, I could both see and feel the smugness dissipate from the dems faces. McCain locked it in by choosing Sara Palin. With the cojones to call B.S. out on the carpet and with the soul of a fiercely protective mother, she’s precisely what Americans claim they want in a leader. If that is true, then game, set, match.
